Arkadaşlar merhaba, bu videoyu sizin baştan sona izlemenizi tavsiye ederim sizlerin. Bugünkü videosu klanetin üzerindeki kayıp sesler yani koma denilen sesler. Koma nedir hemen onu kısaca açıklayayım.

Koma Türk müziği ses sisteminin içindeki seslerin aralıklara bölünmesi. Yani 4 komalık, 5 komalık, 9 komalık dediğimiz diyez, bemoller, natural sesler var. Bir tam aralığın eşit parçalara bölünmesi diye söyleyebilirim. Bunu detaylı araştırabilirsiniz. Konumuz şu anda olmadığı için sadece bilgi vereyim.

Klanetin üzerinde koma var mı? Yoktur. Klanetin üzerinde 4 koma var mı? Yoktur. 5 koma var mı? Yoktur.

Birçok Hüseyin'in makamında olabilir.

Yüzde on bek. Yüzde on bek.

Kapalı bekle çalan her türlü beki çalabilir.

Siren sesi

Hello friends, I recommend that you watch this video from start to finish, which is about the lost sounds on the clarinet, known as koma.

Koma refers to the division of sounds within the Turkish music sound system into intervals, which can be described as divisions of 4 koma, 5 koma, or 9 koma, including sharps, flats, and natural notes, and I can say it's the division of a whole interval into equal parts; you can research this in detail, but since it's not our current topic, I'll just provide this information.

Is there koma on the clarinet? No, there isn't. Are there 4 koma on the clarinet? No, there isn't. Are there 5 koma? No, there isn't.

It's fixed because it's an instrument made according to the tempered system, as it comes from Western music, but we adjust it ourselves with breath control, which is what we call koma.

I would say it's not koma but rather lost sounds, like the lost sound in the Uşşak makam or the lost sound in the Sabah makam, and it can exist in many of Hüseyin's makam.

You can notice these komas in the Rast makam, and there are many makam with koma; if you explore these, you will see them.

So, which instruments provide the most reliable koma? The tambur comes first, friends, specifically the mızraklı tambur.

In the second position is the kanun, and in the third position is the lafta, and since these are fretted instruments, you can easily hear the most accurate koma notes from these instruments.

Now, let's talk about how to produce koma with the clarinet; what needs to be done to see the effects of koma on the clarinet, and which materials allow us to produce it.

First, it is about breath, and it is seventy percent breath control.

Look, friends, if you ask why I say it this way, I can discuss it on every platform if there are friends who would refute this, and I will also provide explanations.

In the case of what we call open bek, it easily produces open bek komas, or komas can be produced with open bek.

I am standing here as a live example, and my father and son, as well as many musician friends, are also here; we are using closed bek, and the bek I am currently using is the Vandoren B45 on my clarinet.

My son is also a clarinet artist at the Ministry of Culture.

Of course, you can use an open mouthpiece in some places, but I never recommend using a very open mouthpiece.

Look, friends, anyone who learns to play the clarinet with a closed mouthpiece can easily play with an open mouthpiece.

However, those who learn to play the clarinet with an open mouthpiece struggle a lot when playing with a closed mouthpiece.

So why do teachers want you to use an open mouthpiece? It's because when a student starts, it's very easy to produce sound with an open mouthpiece, as the sound passes through that gap very quickly without having solid breath control or lip mastery.

And initially, it produces a very unpleasant sound, just like in the student periods we all experienced.

Look, I'm telling you, teachers, do not recommend an open mouthpiece to quickly deceive friends with clarinet blowing technique.

This is a wrong approach; if open mouthpieces really produced the sounds you claim, there would be million-dollar companies in the world.

These companies invest heavily in clarinets and mouthpieces.

So, should we call these friends in Turkey and say, 'Come on, we are making million-dollar investments here'?

You should open the reeds like this, so that everyone can play the komas comfortably.

So, why can't the friends from the West play the komas? Let me explain the reason; there are friends in Turkey who can play them, but because they haven't heard this music in the West, and since it's somewhat related to the genre, they struggle a lot to play them, just like in every ethnic music.

It's a bit harder to play this with the number 4 and number 3 reeds, sorry for the cane.

Also, let me say right away that I'm jumping from topic to topic, but I will show you shortly how to produce the komas.

I will also demonstrate the techniques.

So, what I'm saying is that the reed accounts for 10%, the fingers for 10%, the breath for 70%, and the lips for 10%, so together they will make up 100%.

There is no point in playing with an open bek, and I advise you not to do so, friends.

Anyone who plays with a closed bek can play any kind of bek, and later, after you learn, you can choose the bek you prefer.

Now, what is koma? Friends, koma is a warm breath, and when we say koma, I refer to it as a lost sound, which is not koma; koma is something else.

Koma sounds are different, and we refer to those lost sounds on the clarinet.

Finding is something else, now let's talk about warm breath.

Look, I will give examples of warm breath and cold breath.

So, if those who play with an open bek can produce this koma, then I am either wrong or being disproven.

Well, there are many kabazurna players in Thrace, and there are friends who play folk music in the east, and there are mey players, but as far as I know, these friends do not have a bek.

They play because they take the mouthpiece into their mouths, and believe me, they laugh at us about some topics because they know that these are done with breath control, since the sound frequency decreases due to the warmth given by the breath.

Let me give you another example: air horns produce very nice koma sounds, and the siren sound produces very nice komalı sounds.

So why can't you produce those sounds? There are sirens in ambulances and in vehicles used by special law enforcement forces, and they call them air horns with an air compressor.

This happens because of the air compressor dropping and producing a high frequency at a fast rate, and I will show you this right now, let me do something like this.

I will explain one more example: the siren sound.
